School Council

In Ysgol Heol Goffa Pupil Voice matters. The School Council is made up of pupils from every class in school and they are involved in making decisions about school life. At the beginning of term elections are held and the chairperson, vice chairs and secretary are chosen. These pupils help to run the meetings.

All pupils are invited to the School Council meetings which are held at least once a half term. At times a Governor is also invited. We talk about forth coming events, any issues that pupils think could be improved and any other business. The School Council are involved in interviews for any posts in school with the most recent being our new Deputy Head Mrs Cole.

This term pupils have decided which charities to support – these are Breast Cancer Awareness, Children in Need, Save The Children Christmas Jumper Appeal and Red Nose Day.

They decided on activities for Breast Cancer Day and most recently for Children in Need.

The School Council minute the meetings, feed back to the Head Teacher and the Governors and have a notice board in the main foyer.

The motto is OUR VOICE MATTERS
